Holiday oven schedule planner: time every dish for one oven

Build a Thanksgiving cooking timeline for November 26, 2026, a Christmas dinner or any shared meal. Enter your own recipes to see when each dish starts and finishes in one oven.

How to cook multiple dishes in one oven: start with the timing

This oven schedule for Thanksgiving works backward from your meal time. It compares your temperature inputs and counts occupied racks; it does not decide whether a recipe is cooked.

Each oven dish uses one rack in this model. Check that your dishes physically fit. Preheating and temperature changes are not calculated; if needed, enter your own gap when sequencing. Stovetop tasks do not use oven racks, and burner capacity is not modeled.

For doneness/internal temperature, consult the USDA FoodKeeper / FoodSafety.gov guide.

Plan your meal

Changing the unit relabels your values; it does not convert them. Enter every temperature in the selected unit.

Sequencing moves earlier dishes back and shows their waiting interval after rest. Choose this only after deciding how you will handle that interval; the tool gives no holding advice.

Calendar events cover cooking intervals only. Rest and waiting appear in the printed list. Times use this device’s timezone; calendar apps display events in their selected timezone.

Your entries stay in this page. This tool sends no entries, sets no cookies and uses no external libraries.

How it’s calculated

Finish = meal time − your resting time. Start = finish − your cooking time. An overlap uses start < other finish and finish > other start. Different entered temperatures create a conflict; matching temperatures can share racks up to the selected capacity. In sequential mode, each earlier finish is the earlier of its original finish and the next dish’s start minus your gap. Rest ends = finish + rest; waiting = meal time − rest end. Durations and temperatures are never adjusted.

Questions about your oven schedule

Can dishes at the same temperature share the oven?

The planner allows overlapping dishes with the same entered temperature if the selected rack capacity is not exceeded. Each dish counts as one rack; you still check physical fit and your own recipes.

Does this planner provide turkey cooking times?

No. Enter cooking time, oven temperature and resting time from your own recipe. The planner only places those inputs on a schedule.

Can I print or save my Thanksgiving cooking timeline?

Yes. Build your timeline, then print the list or download an .ics file containing cooking events. Everything is generated in your browser.
