Vehicles with keyless entry use radio signals between the key fob and the vehicle. The product page describes placing keys inside a sealed faraday bag for car keys that blocks signal so RFID signals cannot reach the fob.
This guide explains how specialized signal-blocking pouches isolate automotive smart keys. This page uses facts stated on the product page to detail pouch construction, dimensions, and everyday operation.
Signal containment and RFID shielding
A Faraday bag functions by creating an electromagnetic barrier around enclosed electronic devices. When a keyless entry fob is placed inside and the pouch is sealed, the product page states that the bag blocks RFID signals from reaching the fob and helps prevent remote access to keyless entry fobs.
The package provides two identical pouches, allowing drivers to secure both their primary vehicle key and a spare set. The pouches fit automotive smart keys, remote fobs, and access cards across cars, trucks, SUVs, and motorcycles.
Compact dimensions and carrying attachments
Each pouch measures 3.1 by 5.1 inches, making it compact enough to fit comfortably inside standard trouser pockets. An external hook and key chain allow attachment to pants or a backpack, as stated on the product page. Inside the compartment, an internal key ring holds the car key securely in place for easy retrieval.
The two-pack of signal-blocking Faraday pouches is currently $30.99.
