Key features
Product description
John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant formed Led Zeppelin in 1968, creating an influential and innovative group in modern music. The band's origins lie in The Yardbirds: Page recruited Plant, Bonham and Jones to tour under the name The New Yardbirds. Their self-titled Led Zeppelin debut arrived in 1969 and began a 12-year period when the group was widely seen as a leading force in rock.
Led Zeppelin IV and Houses Of The Holy were prepared for the second round of the band's reissue program, following the earlier Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II and Led Zeppelin III editions. Jimmy Page newly remastered both albums. Originally released in November 1971, the officially untitled Led Zeppelin IV made a lasting mark on rock with its familiar songs.
In 2007, founding members Jones, Page and Plant joined Jason Bonham, John Bonham's son, at London's O2 Arena. They headlined a tribute concert for their close friend Ahmet Ertegun, the founder of Atlantic Records.
