Key features
Product description
Grand Ole Opry member and singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde digs further into her life on Wild with an unguarded, honest perspective. The album draws on a demanding childhood near Arkansas's Ozark Mountains, the lasting influence of her fundamentalist upbringing, the consequences of heavy drinking, her difficult path to sobriety and trauma passed through her family. Together with its country and rock sound, the music becomes both a bold autobiography and a reclaiming of her untamed side.
John Osborne of Brothers Osborne, who collaborated with McBryde on Lindeville, produces this recording with her live band. Its narrative builds toward the moment immediately before she stopped drinking. McBryde hopes listeners will reconnect with the part of themselves that still believes in dreams yet to be realized and risks yet to be taken. She sings to the wild child she believes remains within everyone.
